About Me

A New Vehicle

A few years ago, my parents built a farmhouse in the country. Their new home was located on a dirt road. Regardless of the season, this road was usually hard to drive on. During periods of heavy rain at my parents’ home, the roads became extremely muddy. During times of draught at this location, the road got large potholes in it. Because of the treacherous driving conditions at their new place, my parents decided to purchase a new vehicle. They traded their midsize sedan for a large truck. On this blog, you will discover the best types of vehicles to drive on dirt roads. Enjoy!

Advantages Of Hooklift System Trucks

When your business requires the frequent use of different types of trucks, you may be wondering how you are going to afford them all. You could buy the type you use most and then rent the others as needed. Of course, this may mean waiting for a specific type to become available. You may be put off by the price of renting some of the vehicles if you use them on a regular basis. Luckily, there is a different option that will allow you to have all the different types of vehicles at your disposal without having to rent them from someone else. Hooklift trucks are vehicles with a heavy-duty truck chassis with a hydraulic hook on the bed that allows you to swap out different bodies. You may have a dump truck in the morning and then a water tank vehicle in the afternoon. In addition to the versatility of these vehicles, hooklift system trucks have other advantages for you.

Insurance

Think about how much your business pays to insure all of its vehicles. Big, heavy equipment trucks can add a pretty penny to your monthly premiums. When you have a hooklift truck to take the place of multiple different trucks, you only have one vehicle to insure instead of many. Your insurance premiums will be significantly lower.

Maintenance

Paying for oil changes, new tires, and all other normal maintenance is much easier when you have only one vehicle to worry about. In addition, you won't need to keep an inventory of spare part and supplies for multiple vehicles. Needing extra inventory means less money to spend on other, important aspects of the business, so having only one truck will save you money that way. If you use outside mechanics to do the maintenance and repairs,  you will save even more money when they only have to work on one truck.

Additional Types

If you find that you need an additional type of truck, it is easy and much less expensive to purchase a different body that can be swapped out. In fact, you may even be able to rent one if you are not going to need it on a regular basis.

Hooklift trucks are a good option when you do not want to have a full fleet of different trucks for your business. Talk with dealers and local heavy equipment sales establishments like Ruble Truck Sales Inc to find the right truck chassis and different body types to take care of all the different chores your business handles.
