About Me

A New Vehicle

A few years ago, my parents built a farmhouse in the country. Their new home was located on a dirt road. Regardless of the season, this road was usually hard to drive on. During periods of heavy rain at my parents’ home, the roads became extremely muddy. During times of draught at this location, the road got large potholes in it. Because of the treacherous driving conditions at their new place, my parents decided to purchase a new vehicle. They traded their midsize sedan for a large truck. On this blog, you will discover the best types of vehicles to drive on dirt roads. Enjoy!

Are Common Myths Stopping You From Turning Your Junk Car Into Cash?

Oftentimes individuals choose to hold onto their old junk cars rather than selling them for cash simply because they don't think that selling their vehicle is an option for them. In many cases, this belief actually stems from one or more common myths or outdated information that is still widely accepted as fact. If you have been wanting to sell your junk car for cash but don't believe that this is an option for you, taking the time to review the facts behind these myths may just result in you learning that not only is this a real possibility but that getting cash for your junk car is easier than you ever dreamed possible.

Common Myth: You Must Have A Title For The Vehicle To Sell It

The Fact Behind The Myth: This is a myth that is based on outdated information. While the vehicle will need to be free of any title liens to sell it for cash, it is possible to sell your junk car for cash even if you do not have the physical title in hand. What you will need to complete this process is an old registration or insurance card that shows you as the owner of the vehicle. You will also need to complete an affidavit that states you are the vehicle's current owner and that you are assigning ownership to the junkyard. This entire process can be completed in a matter of minutes.

Common Myth: You Must Be Able To Drive Or Tow Your Vehicle To The Junkyard Yourself

The Fact Behind The Myth: If the fact that you have no way of getting your junk car to the scrapyard has been preventing you from selling this vehicle for cash, you will be glad to know that this issue is easily resolved. Many scrap yards that buy junk cars now offer free junk car removal. What this means is that they will happily send out a tow truck to your location to pick up your junk car. Best of all, they will typically send the driver with all of the necessary paperwork and cash needed to complete the entire transaction right at your location so that you never even need to leave home to turn your junk car into cash.

Common Myth: Your Vehicle Must Be Fully In Tact To Sell It

The Fact Behind The Myth: It is common for junk cars to have missing parts as these cars are often used for working components when fixing other vehicles. While you may find that scrapyards are not willing to pay quite as much for a car that is missing certain parts, it is still quite possible to sell your junk car even if parts have been taken from it. Just be sure you are upfront and honest about what parts are missing so that the junkyard can accurately quote you a selling price before they dispatch a tow truck to your location.
